FIFA has rejected both Joseph Blatter and Michel Platini’s appeal against the ban slammed on them by the body.
FIFA President Joseph Blatter and UEFA President Michel Platini were last month banned from all football activities by the organisation’s Ethics Committee over alleged financial scandal.
The FIFA Appeal Committee, chaired by Larry Mussenden, rejected in full the appeals lodged by Joseph S. Blatter and Michel Platini and confirmed in their entirety the respective decisions (cf. art. 84 par. 2 of the FIFA Code of Ethics) concerning provisional measures taken by the adjudicatory chamber of the independent Ethics
The decisions taken by the FIFA Appeal Committee had been communicated to Mr. Blatter and Mr. Platini.
The ban will include the draw in Paris on Dec. 12 for Euro 2016, which would have been a showcase for UEFA president Platini.
