Nothing Has Changed in Nigeria

Nothing has changed so far in the government of President Mohammadu Buhari of Nigeria.

A popular blogger based in Stockholm, Mr. Adeola Aderounmu who trounced the president, opined that things have not changed at all.

Aderounmu who berated the government remarked that past fraudulent and dubious politicians are being recycled in the ministerial list presented to the senate.

He lamented that ”the ministerial list flying across Nigeria contains familiar names. There are names of governors for example who have not given due accounts of their stewardships in offices. Is this the list that took 3 months to compile? Seriously!!

According to him, a lot of people were expecting new names and fresh hands as ministers, those who had never been linked to corruption or looting, but Buhari adopted the familiar style of ”rewards for campaigns, sponsorships, godfatherism and loyalty to political parties”

The social commentator urged Buhari and APC to stop unnecessary propaganda and think of the Nigeria where they want their children and grandchildren to live and be happy.

Nothing on earth is constant and unchangeable except CHANGE in itself. Where on earth do you think the new Nigerians to serve as ministers can be found. The change that has taken place is the one at the helm of the affairs of the government in Nigeria, the President. If you are conversant with the Scripture, it takes the right man at the top for a meaningful change to take place. Proverbs 29:2 says “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan.” When the Lord Jesus arrested the SAUL, he became PAUL and there was total transformation. This is the change that has really taken place.

The President will hold accountable everyone for his action. Do you know that if the head is good every part of the body responds. The unfortunate thing is that those you are seeing as NEW BREED are worse and more corrupt than the OLD; no wonder, it is often said that the devil you know is better than the angel you haven’t met. These people chosen, I strongly believe will deliver Nigeria from oppression with the help of God. Though they are old breed but zealous and hungry for power, all they needed to ensure the expected change is the one on top that will make them accountable for their actions as check and balances. God help us in Nigeria.
