If the president of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari can have the fear of God and remain trustworthy, the sky will be the limit for the country.
Stockholm-based pastor of Omega Fire Ministry, Christopher Olawale Jegede told the African News in a chat in Stockholm that ”If president Buhari can rule the country with the fear of God in his heart, he will be able to move the country forward but, without the fear of God, everything will end up in chaos”
While praying for the success of the Buhari administration, Jegede insisted that the president must have the fear of God to succeed and referred to the book of Romans 8:6, which says ”for to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace”
The pastor also remarked that the fight against corruption in the country ”must start from the top because when the head is bad all other things will be in disarray. If the leader have the fear of God and impart same to the people he is leading, corruption will be abated, but if the leader does not have the fear of God, he will do what he likes and his followers will do the same thing, and, if the blind leads a blind man, both will fall into a pit”
Jegede who spoke on the forthcoming revival programme organised by Omega Fire Ministry, urged believers from all parts of Sweden to avail themselves of the opportunity to attend so as to secure their total freedom from the shackles of the enemies as the leader of the church, Apostle Johnson Suleman would be mightily used by God to set the captive free.
He said God has never failed and would not fail this time around as God would wrought wonders in the upcoming revival and called on those who are heavy laden to come and receive their total freedom, ”the lame will walk, the blind will see, the deaf will hear, marriages will be restored and the barren will get their miracle babies”
While lamenting the problem of disunity among different christian denominations, he suggested that the only way unity could be fostered in christendom is for christian leaders to eschew self interest. ” God is one. We are all working to make heaven. We should work as Jesus has thought us. A house divided against itself shall not stand. lack of unity is destroying the christendom and it is also discouraging those that are not christians to become christians”
He also used the opportunity to lambast fake pastors teaching people false doctrines and with questionable miracles, he, however, advised followers of such pastors to always cross check what they are thought when they get back home like what the people of Ephesus did in the Bible days, to know if what they were thought aligned with the word of God. ”People seek after miracles and neglect the word of God. The bible says, the entrance of the word giveth light. So, if they can really study the word of God, it will enlighten them and their eyes will be open to know the truth”
The pastor urged all and sundry to come and be fed with the undiluted word of God in the forthcoming revival programme and counselled believers worldwide to hold on to God and ”should live each day like they are never going to live it again, like the next second is going to be rapture. Every believer should live each day like that. They should be spiritually conscious like the rapture is going to take place now, and with that, they will be able to live a pure life”.
