The national coordinator of the Atiku Abubakar campaign Organization in the United Kingdom, Dr Tony Chidi has urged Nigerians both home and abroad to support the PDP presidential aspirant Alhaji Atiku Abubakar as he has all it takes to move the country forward economically.
Dr. Chidi who is based in London, said Nigerians have lost faith in the present administration because it lacked vision and bereft of ideas to better their lives.
He regretted that the economy is in shambles, pointing out that ” there is no security of lives and properties in the country and people are being wasted on a daily basis”
According to him, plans by highly skilled professional Nigerians in the diaspora poised to return and utilize their expertise for the development of the country in order to better the lives of Nigerians have been stalled for fear of being wasted back home.
The campaign coordinator emphasized that Nigerians in the diaspora are hungry to come back home in order to contribute to their quota to the development of their Fatherland with ideas and vast knowledge on how to move the country forward.
He explained that Nigerians are disenchanted, expressing that unemployment is now the order of the day as foreign investors have shunned Nigeria.
Dr. Chidi also used the opportunity to invite the aspirant to the UK to interact and discuss with Nigerians resident in London saying ”that entire members of the Atiku Abubakar campaign Organization in Europe headquartered in London wish to inform you that we support you as you aspire to be the next president of our great country”
”Come and speak to us as we Nigerians in Europe and the UK know that you have a lot to offer to the country. We are ready to receive you sir. We have resolved to give you our unflinching support and God’s willing you will attain victory come 2019” he explained.
”Indeed, Nigeria today needs a man in your mold to salvage the decay in government, economy and our social systems. Having been there, you understand the system better than all who aspire to the presidency with you. For 8 years as the vice president, the economy and other substructures were under your watch and they performed excellently. You have demonstrated great capacity, capability and ability both as a private citizen and as a public officer” he opined.
He explained that ”Nigerians can attest to the fact that you are highly detribalised and would as it was, offer equal opportunities to Nigerians, irrespective of tribe, religion, culture or political leanings. Above all, you are a quintessential democrat and your belief in the Rule of Law and resilience in your last tenure as the Vice President stabilized our democracy. We are of the considered opinion that Nigerians owe you gratitude and this is a fact”
The executive members of the organisation are currently working round the clock to garner more support for the would be president come 2019.
